Once upon a time there lived a robin and a raven who were married. The robin loved the raven with all of her heart and she told him so all the time. The raven loved the robin too, maybe even more than she loved him, but he only told her with his eyes.
One day after the raven had flown off looking for suet and seed, Robin got it into her head that he did not love her, because whenever she told him that she loved him he would not say it back. So that day Robin decided to leave Raven.
"But," she told herself, "I will give him one more chance. When he comes home tonight I will tell him I love him. If he says it back, I will stay, but if my Raven does not tell me he loves me, then I must go."
Right that moment Raven came flying down with a small burlap sack of seeds and grains in his claws and a small bundle of berries in his beak. Robin hopped up to Raven and greeted him with a hug. "Oh, Raven, I love you,"the robin twittered. And Raven, setting the berries on the floor, gazed up at Robin with all of the love of the world in his eyes. But Robin did not see it, and that night she took to the sky.

I wrote this story last year for Literature, but then I lost it, so I wrote it again. It was supposed to be a modern-times fable, but I took out all of the modern-times stuff because it made the story unworthy. YAY! its a story! I hardly ever write stories. It's hard
